SketchUp https://www.sketchup.com/ Sadly they switched over   to a subscription model now (I nabbed the last proper verison just in time!).   However, there is a free web version (I hate it, it’s slow and clunky and it   doesn’t work right for me), but I can highly recommend doing a search for “SketchUp   Make 2017”. This is my main program for designing.
Vectorworks https://www.vectorworks.net/ This is what used when I   was in school. It was glorious. Comes with a 4k price tag, so I no longer use   it.
Twinmotion https://www.twinmotion.com/ I LOVE this one. Plus,   it’s free for personal and educational use, or there’s a pereptual license   for a reasonable price. It’s being updated constantly as well.
Procreate https://procreate.com/ Apple only, iPad app.   Cheap app that does everything from drawing to animation. Very powerful   thing!
